Warrior Queen of Ha-Ran-Fel

I enjoyed this fantasy story immensely. The characters were interesting with just the right amount of good and evil. I liked Merewyn, as she is a strong woman who takes things into her own hands and creates what she wants in life. I really liked Charles; he is a very good-natured person and a great leader for the group. Arris battled some inner demons and came through as a hero. The world was interesting, very medieval with magic and mystery. There was a lot of traveling and fighting while following the four companions in the middle of the story that dragged a bit, however when the battles were happening the pace picked up. All in all an enjoyable epic fantasy that pulls you in and does not let you go until the end.  Pam (rated 4 stars)

I really enjoyed this book. It wasn’t flooded with lots of extra detail- it moved right along but still had enough description to let you create what was happening in your mind. I slowed my reading pace towards the end because I wasn’t ready for it to end. I look forward to reading the next book!!!   Katie (rated 4 stars)

This book was actually really good! At first I thought it was a little slow, but it really picked up and when it ended I realized the book had grown on me.  I thought it was a good book, and I liked how Merewyn progressed from a slave working in a stable to a warrior. I was also glad that this book actually has a happy ending, contrary to many today.  Flora (rated 4 stars)

I loved this world and the characters, especially the Horse Lords.  And start to finish, the book puts you right into the middle of the action.  Good job!  Brian (rated 5 stars)

I really liked this book.  It has elements that reminded me a little of Lord of the Rings, but it’s very much its own story.  I especially liked the imagery–you are there!  I really came to care for the characters–especially Merewyn.   Jean (rated 5 stars)
